Introducing Atlantis, The Royal - Dubai…

When you get an invite to get a sneak peek at the most talked about new hotel in Dubai, you do not say no! (Even though I had to turn down swimming with sharks...!)

If you haven't heard there's a BRAND NEW HOTEL opening in Dubai on the Palm - a sister hotel to the amazing Atlantis - The Palm, they have upped their game and produced another iconic, chic and ultra-luxury concept.

Whilst the hotel is not quite finished and is adding its last touches along with being snagged within an inch of its being, you can tell that this is going to be top notch! The fact that they gave us gold hard hats and Hi Vis jackets whilst we were on-site says it all.

Crowned by a 90-metre sky pool, Atlantis - The Royal takes guests on a sensorial journey with dreamlike rooms, 17 world-class restaurants – including 8 helmed by celebrity chefs – a 5,000 square metre wellness centre and a surreal lobby where more than 4,000 alluring jellyfish glide through the world’s largest jellyfish tank...(sadly they were not in situ on our visit!)

From the architecture, which is cleverly stunning, allowing the air flow to moderate the temperature at certain times of the year, to the fire and water-based fountains (yes I do mean fire and water – only in Dubai!) that will enthral those lucky enough to visit.

In terms of restaurants, you will be wowed by some of the worlds most decorated Chefs - Dinner by Heston, La Mar by Gaston Acurio, Nobu by the Beach and the most stunning restaurant I've ever been into is Ariana's Persian kitchen by Ariana Bundy - it is simply beautiful and has a private dining room for 12 people.  But not only that - the 'buffet' breakfast is not a restaurant, it is a FOODHALL.  Think Harrods or Fortnum and Mason...

Their Wellness & Spa area (AWAKEN) is, of course, not just a spa, yes it has all the usuals but there's a focus on the emotional and mental wellbeing as well as the body.

Floor 22 will allow adult guests only (21+) to experience a nightclub/Ibiza vibe on yes, you’ve guessed it, the 22nd floor of the hotel – this is cool beyond cool – a place to be seen, a place to party and leave your cares behind!
Can we go now please?!

For families, let's not forget the largest water park in this part of the world - Aquaventure. This has been enhanced during Covid to offer the Trident Tower with 12 NEW slides which has out of this world water-based rides and slides and take water parked based excitement and thrills onto another level.  They even have cliff jumping experiences! But take it from me - the Blackout slide (the Leap of Faiths 'scarier sister') especially made my adrenaline levels go off the scale!!

This is a family adventure but for those looking for a slightly less hectic day in the sun then head for a luxurious pre-bookable cabana or sunbed!

Atlantis - The Royal is home to a total of 795 rooms, with 102 unique Suites, 44 with infinity pools, providing complete privacy and relaxation - you can choose from the resort towers of;
Sunset
Sunlight
Sunrise

The Guest Rooms represent the absolute pinnacle of modern contemporary opulence, designed to immerse guests in absolute comfort and unparalleled luxury. All Guest Rooms and Suites have spectacular views of the Palm Island and Arabian Sea.

You can also experience the world’s most iconic stay in one of Atlantis The Royal's 6 Signature Penthouses. With hand-crafted décor, elevated service and bespoke amenities, private infinity pools and expansive terraces. The bedrooms and bathrooms are built for royalty, while the lounge and dining areas deliver that home away from home feeling.

I can honestly say that the attention to detail provided in these rooms are second to none - they have thought of everything even from glass walled bathrooms that turn frosted at the touch of a button!

I felt truly privileged to be able to visit in advance of the official launch of this brand new 5* property, so watch this space for news on prices and booking which the hotel is aiming to provide in the next couple of months.
They will then be opening their doors to the first customers in January 2023!

Nothing about the Atlantis is left to chance – visit and be prepared to be amazed at every turn!

Dubai has so much to offer and I was blown away by the juxtaposition of this city with its skyscrapers, beaches and desert, so if you're looking for Dubai as your next holiday destination, please get in touch.
